Join Gluestick Indy for two workshops on creating, publishing, and distributing zines - self-published, non-commercial print-works that are typically produced in small, limited batches.
Join Gluestick Indy in August and September for two zine-making workshops. Zines are DIY, self-published, print works typically poroduced in small, limited batches on common office equipment, using a variety of artistic and literary techniques. In August, learn about creating and publishing zines, and in September, learn about distribution and tabling at zine festivals. Gluestick has been Indianapolis' zines & small publishing advocate since 2016. Through their collective they host Gluestick Zine Fest each fall, teach workshops, and publish collaborative zines.

About the branch
The first library to serve the neighborhood opened in 1957 as the Emerson Branch. This frame house near East 38th Street and North Emerson Avenue soon became too small to meet the neighborhood's needs, leading to the construction of a 7,500-square-foot branch at the same location in 1962. The Emerson Branch closed its doors in 2003 when the current 16,000-square-foot library opened as the East Thirty-Eighth Street Branch.
