Writing for Wellness, or Expressive Writing, is not about writing to impress others or even being grammatically correct. Writing for Wellness means writing about whatever is weighing on your heart and mind.
In this workshop, you will respond to several writing prompts by sharing your thoughts with the page. You do not need to have any prior experience to join this class, only the desire to write your truth. Sharing will always be optional, allowing writers the fullest capacity for honesty.
Made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund through a grant to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
Be sure to check out the writing workshops at other library branches this summer and fall; and mark your calendar for Meet an Author, Be an Author on October 21, 2023 at Central Library for more writing workshops and connections with local authors and writers.
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
