Put your vocabulary skills to the test as you compete against other book lovers for a chance to win quirky and unique prizes. Whether you're a seasoned speller or just enjoy a good challenge, this event is sure to be a blast!
To participate in the spelling bee as a speller, please register. Participants will compete in rounds of increasingly difficult words until a champion is crowned. But if you're not quite ready to compete, don't worry - spectators are welcome to drop in and cheer on their favorite spellers.

About the branch
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
