Considering homeschooling? New to homeschooling? Already homeschooling, but looking for new ideas? IndyPL will host an information fair - a day filled with learning and fun! Hands-on activities, engaging lectures, and lots of resource tables. A drawing for prizes will be held at the end of the day.

The fair will start with a morning talk by Lilly scientist, Guy Hansen, who will show us how science is fun! Browse the tables and talk to representatives from over 25 vendors to learn more about what their organization can offer to your homeschooling experience, including destinations of homeschool interest and booksellers.  Pop-up activities will be happening in the Learning Curve throughout the day. The fair will close with the afternoon keynote by local author Teresa Robeson (Queen of Physics, Two Bicycles in Beijing), with a book signing to follow.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees will receive a reusable bag (one per family) and other swag, while supplies last. Families are welcome to bring snacks or lunch. There will be designated areas for eating.

This program is made possible by The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund and Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

About the branch

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
