Tell It Right: A Family Pardon

Join author Sarah Layden whose book in progress, "Tell It Right," describes an 1874 altercation in a wheat field near Independence, Indiana which led to one man’s death and her great-great grandfather's trial, conviction, imprisonment, and eventual pardon.

Research and archival documents have given the author's family a shockingly clearer picture, along with new questions about family lore and how stories are passed down.
