Come together with friends and strangers to nurture our civic spirit through poetry, songs, and shared readings of great and provocative American texts.
Also, listen to a “civic sermon” and gather in Civic Circles to practice the skills of listening and showing up for each other in public life. This event, to be held in the Nina Mason Pulliam Indianapolis Special Collections Room on the 6th floor, is presented by Spirit & Place, the League of Women Voters, Song Squad Indianapolis, and IndyPL.

About the branch
As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
