📚 Join Soulful Pages Book Club 📚
as we discuss Black Panther Women by Mary Frances Phillips
in celebration of Women’s History Month

This Women’s History Month, Soulful Pages Book Club invites you to gather with us for a powerful conversation honoring the legacy, leadership, and resilience of Black women. Our featured selection, Black Panther Women by Mary Frances Phillips, uplifts the often-overlooked stories of women who helped shape one of the most influential movements in Black history.

✨ Book Summary:
In Black Panther Women, historian Mary Frances Phillips sheds light on the critical roles women played within the Black Panther Party. Through personal stories, archival research, and historical analysis, the book highlights how Black women were organizers, strategists, caregivers, and leaders—balancing activism, gender expectations, and political struggle. Phillips challenges traditional narratives that center men and instead reveals how women’s labor, vision, and resistance sustained the movement and pushed it forward.

💬 Our discussion will explore:

The leadership and influence of Black women in social justice movements
Gender, power, and activism within the Black Panther Party
How these women’s stories reshape our understanding of history
The ongoing impact of Black women’s organizing today
🌸 We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate Women’s History Month by honoring the voices, courage, and contributions of Black women who paved the way for change. Whether you’re a longtime reader or new to this history, your presence and perspective are welcome.

Come learn, reflect, and connect with us at Soulful Pages Book Club—where stories spark conversation and history comes alive.

✨ We can’t wait to read and discuss with you. ✨
