Senior Tech Academy: Introduction to Google Apps

Week 1 of 4

Get started with Google! Google offers so much more than just email. Learn how to use your Gmail account to access the Google App Suite. Easily connect dates, reminders, and photos with others and learn how to use these tools to simplify your life.

Join us for this 4-week Series! We will introduce Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Photos, Calendar, Passwords, Tasks, and Keep. Beginner friendly exercises will include creating demo files that will be automatically saved to your account so you can keep them for reference later.

A Google account is required.

Week 1:  Introducing Google Drive

We will show you how to access your Google Drive, introduce creating files withing Drive, and discuss saving to the cloud.

Week 2: Introducing Gmail & Photos

This session will cover the basics of Gmail, introduce Gmail settings, and show you how to save and organize photos into albums using Google Photos.

Week 3: Introducing Docs & Sheets

In this session we will show you how to create a shared holiday menu and a customizable grocery tracker.

Week 4: Calendar, Tasks, Keep, & Passwords

We will demonstrate how to make a shared family calendar in Google Calendar, how to use Tasks & Keep for notes and tasks, and show you how to access Google Passwords so you can more easily find your passwords later.
