Put on your mad scientist coats and join us for our bi-monthly school-age program at the College Avenue branch library! This week, we'll be making SLIME from scratch! Perfect for spooky season...
Join us for Saturday Smarties at College Ave, a time just for school-age kids (ages 6-12) to hang out, be social and creative, and try new things, every other Saturday. For our mid-October meet-up, we'll be exploring a little bit of chemistry by making slime. Kids will get to pick the color for their slime, as well as any add-ins (glitter, googly eyes, etc.), and then after a brief tutorial, get their hands messy to make their own!
Established as the Broadway Branch in 1924, the library served the neighborhood from a frame house on E. 42nd Street until 1958 when a 6,500-square-foot facility opened on Broadway Street. This aging and overcrowded building was replaced in August 2000 with the current 16,000-square-foot structure on College Avenue that was renamed the College Avenue Branch.
