Are you interested in yarncrafting with a side of community service? Join us for an evening of crochet and knitting at Southport!
This crafting program meets at 6 p.m. the first Monday of every month in the Southport Library community room, save for September when we shall meet on the second Monday.
A new project will be featured every month, with options for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Hooks, needles, and other supplies will be available for in-house use, and project participants will be provided with some yarn to get them started on the latest project. If you have your own project in progress, however, feel free to bring it in and work alongside us!
If you cannot attend a meeting, but would like to participate or use our supplies, stop by the Southport Reference Desk or call 317-275-4510 for information.
Supplies or project donations are always welcomed!

The Southport Branch began in 1967 as a small storefront in the Madison Square Shopping Center. Following acquisition of a site for a larger facility, the new 15,700-square-foot library opened in 1974 on East Stop 11 Road. Even before the move occurred, a group of Perry Township residents demonstrated support by raising more than $5,000 to provide additional books for the new library.
