Saturday, October 12
10:30am - 11:30am

Join Brooke Alford to hear about ways you can turn your space into a sanctuary for pollinators! Attendees will have the chance to take home special seeds from a variety of native plants just in time to plan for their winter sowing!

Pollinator gardening supports beauty, natives, and the food system! Think about how you can turn a corner or your entire space into a haven for pollinators like bees, butterflies, moths, and MORE! Brooke has loads of experience about pollinator gardening and native plants.

This program is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Enjoy pollinators? Check out this list of books based on the honey bee and other pollinators!

About the branch

The Spades Park Branch was built with funds from a $120,000 grant by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation and opened in 1912, six months after the opening of the city’s other remaining Carnegie Library, the East Washington Branch. The 7,500-square-foot branch underwent a $610,000 renovation in 1987 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012.
