Who Would Believe a Prisoner? Indiana Women's Carceral Institutions, 1848-1920, is available through the library as a print book and as an e-book The Library's collection. This event correlates with an author talk of the title being hosted at the Central library on Saturday, June 1st. Reading the book is not required to attend the author talk. This is event is also part of the 2024 Equity Speaker Series.

As the hub of the Indianapolis Public Library system, Central Library showcases renowned architecture and services. The original 1917 building, designed by Paul Cret and constructed of Indiana limestone in the Greek Doric style, was considered one of the most outstanding secular buildings in the U.S. Its six-story glass and steel-framed addition, designed by Evans Woollen, opened in 2007.
